Shotgun parries:
A point-blank Shotgun shot to the torso right before an enemy attack lands will deal massive damage.
- The Tip of the Day.
A ONE-MACHINE ARMY is the fourth mission of the PRELUDE. It has an emphasis on heat, full of high temperatures and cosmetic cooling stations. This level marks the beginning of the Malicious Face becoming a normal enemy.
Major Areas[]
Statue Arena[]
A large room with several platforms and a stairway up to an elevated level of the arena. Five Strays spawn on the elevated platforms while a group of ten Filth spawn on the ground; killing all of either group will cause a Malicious Face to spawn in front of the arena's entrance.
Spinning Hallway[]
A hallway lined with extremely hot spinning rings, with a small room halfway through and a Checkpoint placed beforehand. Approaching the center will cause a group of six Filth to crash through the window to the left and a Stray to spawn at the far end; walking into the center will cause four Strays to spawn in each of the room's corners.
While there is nothing else in the left window, going through the right window will lead to an accessible door which goes into a small box-shaped arena. Going in will summon two Malicious faces which, when killed, will open up another door leading into a small pipe room with an Over-Heal Powerup. There are also 3 breakable valves in the pipe room, but it is unknown what they do.
Another Checkpoint can be reached after leaving, placed in a cooling chamber between it and the Fan Arena.
Fan Arena[]
A large room with a large glass floor over a giant spinning fan pit; the first wave consists of four Strays, six Filth and two Schisms. After clearing them out, four Filth will spawn near the exit door while another ten Filth drop down from the rafters on either side of the pit. Once both waves are defeated, the Level Exit will open.

Secrets[]
Challenge[]
SLIDE UNINTERRUPTED FOR 17 SECONDS
After clearing out all of the enemies in the mission, return to the beginning and get aligned as straight as possible before sliding; if the Malicious Face's corpse from the Statue Arena is in the way, a Ground Slam can destroy it.
Since the new revamp the cooling chambers have made an extra tweak to the level, make sure to break the glass panes that shut you in as you progress to the rooms to make sure you don't have to retry it all again.
Make sure that NONE of the glass in the center of the Fan Arena is destroyed. The glass can be avoided by using non-destructive (incapable of breaking fragile things like glass) weapons, and/or luring enemies to the doorway away from the glass and using an explosion (such as the Malicious Railcannon) on the crowd. However, use it with caution, as if the explosion is too close to the glass, it may break some of the panes. If the glass breaks, just pause and press Checkpoint to return back to before the Fan Arena.
Alternatively, if the Rocket Launcher is equipped, a rocket can be shot at the ground while sliding, giving the ability to move around while maintaining the sliding status. Note that the game doesn't count the challenge as completed until standing up, so a stopwatch (or internal counting) must be used to know when to stand.
Trivia[]
- This is one of the shortest non-boss levels in the game, consisting of only three main arenas.
- The level name may refer to the Prodigy song One Man Army, as several other level names in ULTRAKILL are also references to songs.
- Some consider it to be one of the most forgettable levels in the game, due to the lack of a boss and completely linear nature.
- However, it is also the first level to feature a Malicious Face as a non-boss enemy, and as such, newer players may remember it more.
