ULTRAKILL is a fast-paced ultraviolent old school first-person shooter developed by Arsi "Hakita" Patala and published by New Blood Interactive. You play as V1, a combat machine fueled by blood who has ventured into the depths of Hell after the extinction of humanity. Hell abounds with demons and tormented souls, sources of blood that you must rend apart in order to refuel yourself and survive.

ULTRAKILL's gameplay combines features from classic shooters like Quake, modern shooters like Doom (2016) and character action games like Devil May Cry. The game places emphasis on movement, dodging attacks, and efficient gunplay in its arena-style levels. In addition, the player's health can only be restored by showering in the blood of enemies, requiring the player to adopt an aggressive playstyle that regularly places them in close combat with their opponents.

The game's prologue and first act were released in early access on September 3, 2020, and a free demo is available on Steam. You can find ways to help the wiki out here. Dual Wield powerups normally last only 30 seconds, but the secret Dual Wield Orb in [ 4-2: GOD DAMN THE SUN ] and the lone Dual Wield spawn in [ 5-3: SHIP OF FOOLS ] have doubled 60-second durations, and the Dual Wield at the end of [ 4-1: SLAVES TO POWER ] has a quadrupled 120-second duration.

A Sentry can be chargebacked, causing its bullet to Ricoshot, dealing 43 damage to any target it hits.

The most directly damaging attack from any enemy is the Hideous Mass mortar, dealing a whopping 60 damage on hit.

The Sharpshooter Revolver's alternate fire can detonate both fired Shotgun shells and V2's Piercer Revolver shots.

The Leviathan's lunge, despite being telegraphed as an unparriable, can be parried, although very difficult and will not interrupt the attack.

During Seasonal Events, characters in cutscenes will also wear seasonally-appropriate headgear.

The burning corpses in [ 1-2: THE BURNING WORLD ] use the old models of the Stray and Schism.

You can parry a melee attack from an enemy twice with the Shotgun and Feedbacker, albeit with strict timing.

Wall jumping and slamming at the same time will perform a technique known as Slam Storage, which will give incredibly high slide speed or jump height for a small window upon landing. (To learn more, check Movement Guide.)

Parrying the drill from the Screwdriver Railcannon out of an enemy will do all of its damage instantly, allowing for extreme damage by bouncing it repeatedly between enemies.

There are a total of 5 Weapons, each with 3 variants each with their own functions. Three of the Weapons also have Alter nate Variants that can be used to modify the original effects of the base weapon.
